All the hours of holding the bike and running behind him... all the screaming... the tears and anger... the fights about me not holding him well enough... the scraped elbows... the bike crashing into the neighbour's bbq... it has all finally payed off! The training wheels came off a couple of days ago and Kaspar is biking up and down the street as though he's been doing this for years already.
It's amazing. The event was witnessed by our awesome neighbours (pic below) and Michelle got a high five, because Kaspar is now the proud owner of her kids' bike (her kids are well into their teens). We're going out for a family bike ride today. Yippee!!!

how amazing!!! i cant get over this kids growing up thing- it was 5 seconds ago i met him as a week old baby!!! madness!!!
