nonsense

I was taking the subway to work this morning (Which happens rarely these days, because usually I'm on my bike!) and I could not help but listen to several conversations of people sitting or standing around me. It's amazes me, listening to the way people talk about things.... their every day lives. One woman was describing shoes she had seen on the internet to her husband "They were so beautiful! You know, that dark navy blue colour, I think it's called midnight blue. Pump heel, a little rounded toe, classical really. I think I should order a pair! What do you think?" He yawned and looking a little perplexed, said "What do I think? (pause) About what?" I almost laughed out loud, while she calmly repeated the entire description all over again. People-watching is a fascinating past time! I can relate to the old Portuguese men, who sit on the bench, on the sidewalk, sipping an espresso, just watching the world go by!
