a grand old time at the movies

i had heard of m4m (movies for mommies) before kaspar was even a flicker in my imagination, but today, thanks to michelle, we finally went to one. it was great! GREAT!!!! the film was a light comedie about a jewish american fellow (a sweet geeky lad played by Elijah Wood), who goes to ukraine to search for a woman, who had saved his grandfather from genocide. ok, well, genocide and war is no light matter, but i still stick to my description of comedie. there was this spectacular character - a young russian guy, who so much so wanted to be african american (he called it 'negro' and did not understand what was wrong with the word 'negro'). he was so very funny. so right on. his look reminded me of this latvian rapper "ozols". anyways.... the film is called "everything is illuminated". see it, if you get a chance. i recommend it. about the actual experience - no, babies crying in the film did not bather me one bit. maybe i'm just immune to it now :-) most kids fell asleep after a while. kaspars did, too, after jumping on my lap for a good first half of the movie. i do have one beef with the whole m4m thing, though. the flick is full price for mothers, but only 4$ for grandparents. yeah! 4$ !?!?! where can you see a movie these days for 4 canadian $? lucky grannies!!! oh. i was going to write more, but i got caught up searching for latvian music while trying to find that link for 'ozols' and now it's 12:48 am and i'm pooped. linking things in this blogging world can be a true distraction... ... ... goodnight.
